Remote Thermocouples

RAM’s remote thermocouples are similar to traditional thermocouples, but are available with or without a temperature transmitter and are mounted remotely from the process they are monitoring. Perfect for applications that prohibit direct mounting, remote models allow temperature sensing despite excessive radiated or conducted heat, or high vibrations. Remote thermocouple models can accurately sense temperature to a precision of ±1.1°C.

An extensive range of elements, connection heads, insertion lengths and process connections can be individually selected for the appropriate application. Remote thermocouples can be programmed in the field to work as a type J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N or C calibration connector. They are accessed digitally and data can easily be exported. RAM’s remote thermocouples are convenient and efficient, consuming low amounts of power while still able to measure extreme high and low temperatures and relay data over several miles at predetermined intervals. Because of this, the remote model is ideal for measuring temperatures in industrial boilers, liquids, and food storage units.
